Fred Buljo and Co. were able to party by the end, after it had looked dark after the jury was done. The joik definitely has a larger impact than gunpowder. Norway received the most points from the public and passed among others, Sweden, which for a long while looked like winning.

The Netherlands and Duncan Laurance won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 with the song, “Arcade” while Italy came in 2nd.

This is the 5th victory to the Netherlands.

This is for having large dreams. This is for music first. Always, the winner said, before he performed the song again.

The expectations to Norway rose a little the last days, KEiiNO moved up to a fifth place on the odds’ lists, after performing at the Eurovision finale.

What an experience. We were met by an exultant amount of people who shouted, “Norway, Norway” and it was fantastic. We received such great energy from the audience, says KEiiNO’s alexandra Rotan, through NRK’s press contacts.

Norway was met by massive, rhythmic clapping in the filled press center – and many were joiking along.

The Norwegian jury thought the Check republic had the best song and gave them 12 points during the point awards in the Eurovision finale in Tel Aviv. Read aloud by Norway’s Eurovision winner from 2009, Alexander Rybak, Norway gave most points to the Check republick and Lake Malawi with the song, “Friend of a friend”.
