Continue readingNRK’s Summeropen on Alta Beach Camping was great PR for the city and Finnmark. Amongst the guests, Tuesday was the band KEiiNO and Trine Lise Olsen. Alexandra Rotan from the MGP-band warmed up both attending audience and TV viewers with her warm words about cold Alta.
Continue readingKEiiNO has recently toured the world and latest they have charmed Australia and audience in New York. the period after participating in Eurovision has been busy. For the very first time the group visited Fred René’s home village, Kautokeino last Friday and the band had a great time with the kids and youths on Báktehárji even though the circumstances were a little smaller than what they are used to.
Continue readingI discovered KEiiNO on You Tube and the Spirit in the Sky video wasn’t actually the first thing I saw. I have family in Norway so have always been interested in Norway’s performances at the Eurovision. In 2019, I was searching online to see who would represent KEiiNO and came across the name of KEiiNO then on YouTube the first thing I saw was their vlog from the Sámi kindergarten, which was, coincidentally, filmed on my birthday!
Continue readingIt was May 18 2019, the evening of the ESC final. My husband had to go early to bed because of his work and I was trying not to make a lot of noise. But then KEiiNO appeared on the screen with “Spirit in The Sky”. The volume was increased. Continue readingLike so many others, I discovered KEiiNO in the Eurovision in Tel Aviv in 2019. Their music instantly ignited a flame inside me and made me want more. Continue readingThe first time I heard KEiiNO was when they were presented as participants in Melodi Grand Prix in 2019. (Melodi Grand Prix is the national selection in Norway). The catchy song, “Spirit in the sky” made a strong impression right away, for one (me) who has a big heart for great pop music.
Continue readingTom, Alexandra and Fred and the rest of your gang, CONGRATULATIONS, with the huge success you have had already with Monument. The social media have been absolutely buzzing since we received the news.
Continue readingSeven demanding hours of mountain hiking and “herding” of reindeer. These are just some of the things that KEiiNO members have been doing lately.
Continue readingAround 12 this afternoon, some of us nearly had a heart attack. All of a sudden, the Facebook covers changed on KEiiNO’s Facebook, and on Tom’s, Alexandra’s and Freds – all into the same cover. This could mean two things, 1. A new single soon, or 2. They were among those soon to be announced as participants in this year’s Melodi Grand Prix i Norge.
Continue reading– I’m fine, it’s Saturday after all, Fred Buljo joked to VG after the voting showed that it was game over.
He didn’t despair at all, even though it was on the cards that he was hanging by a thread. Last round he was close to being voted off.
